What We Believe

We are a local church that is part of the Southern Baptist Convention. Our beliefs come from the Bible and they are detailed in The Baptist Faith and Message. We are including a link to this document, but here are a few words to summarize our beliefs.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God and Jesus is the Way to God. Being inspired and superintended by God Himself, the Scriptures are authoritative over the opinions of people. We also believe what the Bible claims about Jesus Christ, namely that He is the divine Son of God. We believe Jesus died as a sacrifice and substitute for your sins and He was literally resurrected.

Finally, we believe it is imperative that each person individually decide to receive Jesus as their Savior and follow Him as their Lord. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me.” The Bible explains clearly it is impossible to get to heaven through personal good works. If you have never intentionally placed your trust in Jesus to forgive your sins and save you, then with our strongest encouragement we ask you to make that decision right now. The Bible promises if you will trust Jesus as Savior and Lord then you will be forgiven of your sins, spiritually reborn, and you can know you have eternal life in heaven.
