The Heart of God

Jonah is a story that we should look at as a standard of understanding the heart of God.  We can study Jonah and compare our lives to him.  But we also need to see in this story that God is calling us to get involved in His will.  We need to ask God, “What is my role in the Great Commission?”.

Lessons from Jonah 1

1. God loves lost people and so should you.
2. Your disobedience to obey God affects other people.
3. God desires to not be limited to only some Americans, or some races, or some people groups.
4. Obedience to God the first time is better than the alternative.

If we would be honest with God today, we should pray to God this prayer: Heavenly Father, here is my life, give me your heart for people who need Jesus.
