The Christmas War!

Rev 12

1. John Wesley: “There is another world.” There is the absolute necessity of the supernatural reality.
2. John the Apostle (or John the Revelator) was shown the invisible side of Christmas: The War in Heaven
3. Four symbolic women in the Revelation:
   1. Jezebel – Rev 2:20
   2. The woman on the beast / Harlot of Babylon – Rev 17:1-3
   3. The Bride of Christ – Rev 19:7
   4. The pregnant woman (Israel) – Rev 12:1-3
4. The next sign is the dragon.  The reality it points to is Satan – Rev 12:9
   1. Read Revelation 12:4 and 1 Peter 5:8.  The operative word in our enemy’s agenda is “devour”.
5. The Child born through this warfare is Jesus Christ!  That we can now celebrate His birth and worship Him in peace and joy means that Almighty God has completely won the war! – Col 2:15
6. Seen from this perspective, how can Christmas increase my spiritual growth?
   1. I understand the reality of the spiritual / supernatural – Eph 6:10-18
   2. I embrace the Victory over the devil / force of evil – 1 Cor 15:57
   3. I USE the weapons that God has given – James 4:7, 2 Cor 10:4
