Free as a Bird: The Preparation of Christmas

God provided a long preparation period for the coming of the Savior of the World.  Over and over in the Word of God we find the many efforts God made to clearly prepare humanity for Christmas.  Today’s text is one of numerous examples and we should worship God when we see His divine plan at work.

The Seven Preparation of Christmas in Leviticus 14:1-7

1. The need for the priest to come out of the camp (14.3)
2. The need for two birds of the same type (14.4)
3. The use of cedar wood (14.4)
4. The presence of scarlet cloth (14.4)
5. The use of hyssop (14.4)
6. The collection of blood in a clay pot (14.5)
7. The mixing of blood with running water (14.5)
